Applications invited for media fellowship programme on climate change reporting

Imphal, April 06 2026:
The Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur, has invited applications from journalists in Manipur for the 7th State Level Media Fellowship Programme on Climate Change Reporting for the period 2026-27.The fellowship programme's theme will focus on Climate Change impacts and actions in Manipur.
As per an official notification, a total of 10 fellowships will be awarded across four categories: Open Category for print media reporter, Open category for electronic media reporter, Women Journalist category for print media reporter, and Hill Journalist category for print media reporter.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience in Journalism and Media reporting.
The fellowship reward is Rs 50,000 along with a citation.
Selected journalists will also have opportunities for interstate exposure visits and capacity building during the fellowship period.
Applications, including a latest CV, two passport size photographs, and a letter of endorsement from an Editor, should be submitted physically to the Directorate by April 17, 2025 .
