During the meeting, the MP drew the Governor's attention to a range of critical issues, including budgetary measures necessary to address the financial implications of the crisis.
Informing this, a statement issued by the office of the MP stated that while highlighting the constitutional framework that positions the state police as the first line of defence in maintaining law and order, Dr Bimol Akoijam expressed concern over the de-facto subversion of the Manipur Police during the crisis.

The MP also stressed the need for a judicious approach to disarmament in both the hills and valley, ensuring a fair and effective process across the state.
Welcoming the government's decision for free movement of people on the highways, he urged the Governor to address the challenges firmly by exercising the required and legitimate authority of the state.
Raising the issue of Laishram Kamalbabu, who disappeared from the Leimakhong military station last year, Dr Bimol appealed to the Governor to use his offices to address the concerns of the missing man's family.
He further pressed for the appointment of local advisors to assist him in assuaging the sentiments of the people in Manipur.
Addressing the issue of illegal drugs in the state, the MP inquired about the measures taken to curb poppy cultivation, synthetic drugs, and illicit drug trafficking.
He sought clarity on the steps being implemented to tackle this growing problem.
During the meeting, Olivia Thounaojam also appealed to the Governor to take necessary measures to address the concerns of women and children affected by the crisis, particularly those residing in relief camps.
In response, the Governor briefed her on the steps undertaken by his office in this regard.
