Seva Setu Abhiyan brings Govt welfare schemes to people's doorstep

Bishnupur/Chandel/Kakching/Kamjong/Thoubal/Tengnoupal, October 05 2026: Under the Seva Setu Abhiyan held across the various districts in the State, the Government welfare schemes and public services are being brought to people's doorsteps to enable them avail the benefits of these schemes and services.

Bishnupur

The District Administration, Bishnupur, in coordination with the Office of the MLA, Thanga Assembly Constituency, today organised Seva Setu Abhiyan, an outreach camp for Thanga Assembly Constituency, at Keirenphabi Maning Leikai community hall as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.As part of the programme, eligible beneficiaries were distributed horticultural inputs, aid and appliances, fingerlings by MLA Tongbram Robindro, DC Pooja Elangbam, SDO Moirang and BDO Bishnupur.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest, MLA Thanga AC Tongbram Robindro highlighted the various services and initiatives undertaken for the welfare of the people during this period and urged the public to make full use of the services and benefits being provided through the programme.

He noted that such outreach initiatives bring essential public services closer to the people and help ensure that government welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries at their doorstep.

More than 20 Government departments set up stalls and provided facilities for beneficiary enrolment, verification, documentation and application for various government schemes.

Officials and department representatives also provided guidance and assistance to citizens in availing the benefits of various government schemes.

Chandel

Seva Setu Abhiyan (Public Welfare Camps) under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 was organised at Chandel district today.

The programme was organised by SDO, Khengjoi under the aegis of the District Administration, Chandel, with the participation of various departments and line departments to provide information and facilitate access to government welfare schemes and public services.

Officials and representatives of the participating departments interacted with the public and provided information regarding the schemes, services and facilities available through their respective departments.

The camp also aimed at creating greater awareness among the public and ensuring that eligible beneficiaries are able to access government services.

Kakching

The District Administration Kakching organised the second Seva Setu Abhiyan camp at the Waikhong Ningthoumanai Lairembi Shanglen, Kakching district today.

A total of 13 departments participated in the programme, benefiting 312 beneficiaries through enrolment, verification, documentation and application facilities for various Government welfare schemes.

As part of the programme, Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme cards, bee boxes and organic pesticides were distributed to beneficiaries.

Kamjong

A two-day Seva Setu Camp began today at Phungyar Sub- divisional Headquarters as a part of the on-going Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.The single window camp, which aimed at providing direct public grievance redressal and on the spot enrolment for pending scheme applicants, was organised by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Phungyar under the supervision of District Administration, Kamjong.

During the camp, various government departments delivered service to the beneficiaries under different welfare schemes.

Meanwhile, the District Health Society, Kamjong observed the World Suicide Prevention Day, 2026 at the Health and Wellness Centre, Grihang.

Thoubal

The District Administration, Thoubal, organized the Seva Setu Abhiyan (Go to Village) at Wangjing Ningthou community hall.

Paonam Brojen Singh, MLA Wangjing Assembly Constituency, addressed the gathering and stated that the Government has introduced various welfare schemes across different sectors for the benefit of the general public.

He emphasized that the general public from different areas of the district should enroll in the various Government welfare schemes in order to avail themselves of the benefits provided by the Government.

Later, Paonam Brojen Singh and the Thoubal DC inspected various stalls and distributed aids and appliances to three beneficiaries with disabilities under the initiative of the District Administration, Thoubal.

Certificates of appreciation were also distributed to the best Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers selected from each sector on the occasion of the Angan Ka Utsav Programme organized by the ICDS Project, Thoubal, in 2026.Furthermore, sanction notes were distributed to four SelfHelp Groups from different areas of the district provided by the SBI Wangjing Branch.

Tengnoupal

Meanwhile, the District Administration, Tengnoupal will organize Seva Setu Abhiyan - Sarkar Aapke Dwar as part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, 2026 at District Headquarters, Tengnoupal on October 7, 2026 .

Facilitation camps for welfare schemes, beneficiary verification, Aadhaar/documentation support, applications for schemes and services, grievance receipt and referral are the main objective of the campaign.

Various activities and programmes have been organized continuously under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan across Tengnoupal district with line departments undertaking various activities and programmes under the supervision of the District Administration, Tengnoupal.
