IFM celebrates 2nd foundation day

Imphal, June 05 2025: The 2nd foundation day of Interfaith Forum Manipur (IFM) was observed today at the Thangjing Hall of Manipur Press Club.

As a part of the event, members of the Forum were conferred with the Maja Koene Award.

The event was graced by K Losii Mao, general secretary, Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC); Aribam Brajakumar, president, Manipur Cultural Integration Conference (MCIC), Imphal and RK Radhamohan Singh, president, Divine Life Society, Imphal Branch as presidium members.

A souvenir was also released to commemorate the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Deben Bachaspatimayum, convenor, IFM, said that different religious leaders came together to form the Forum on June 5, 2023 in the back-drop of the Manipur conflict.

The Forum undertook many initiatives including public rallies with the goal of bringing the violent turmoil to an end, he added.

The Forum convenor further called upon a neutral third party to facilitate dialogue and resolve the ongoing conflict by working out a long-term solution.
