Op Jalrahat: AR intensifies relief efforts, medical camp conducted

In an emphatic display of professionalism and swift action, the Assam Rifles has successfully carried out flood rescue Operation Jalrahat in the affected areas and provided succour to the distraught and marooned citizens in Imphal City.
According to a release issued by PRO of HQ IGAR(South), the Assam Rifles on June 3, 2024, mobilized its resources to provide assistance to the people of Khabi village in Imphal West district.
Considering the difficulties faced by the people who are in dire need of basic necessities, the Assam Rifles distributed relief material including grains, fresh vegetables, clean water, mattresses, and other essentials items to about 250 people.
The Assam Rifles also conducted an amphibious medical camp and offered door-to-door medical care on a boat in the flood-affected Nagaram area.
In collaboration with the State Administration, the troops braved the challenges posed by the swollen waters, as their medical team provided essential healthcare to 307 patients, including 52 women and 18 children.
The comprehensive support included immediate blood sugar determination and a range of supportive and conservative treatments.
This initiative underscores the Assam Rifles' relentless dedication to ensuring the well-being of the community, even in the most trying circumstances.
In the same spirit, on June 3, Assam Rifles conducted another medical camp for the flood victims of Laipham Khunou.
218 families benefited from the camp where medicines worth approximately Rs 25,000 was distributed to the locals.
The people expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the timely assistance during this challenging period.
