Awareness programme on monsoon health conducted

The Department of Community Medicine, Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Langol, conducted a community health awareness role play on "Monsoon Health: Don't Let Rain Make You Sick" at Awang Sekmai Khunou Mathak today.
A press release by the Assistant General Manager - Business Development, SAHS Langol stated that the programme was conducted by MBBS interns posted at the Department of Community Medicine, in collaboration with the Community Health Centre (CHC), Sekmai, as part of their Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) posting at the Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC) .
The initiative aimed to create awareness among community members about the prevention and control of vector-borne diseases, particularly during the monsoon season.
Through the role play, the interns highlighted common health risks associated with the rainy season and emphasized appropriate preventive measures to protect individuals and families from vector-borne diseases.
The programme was followed by an interactive session wherein the faculty members and staff addressed queries from community members and provided information on preventive measures against vector-bome diseases, added the release.
