The Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC), Imphal and the Department of Zoology, Manipur University under the sponsorship of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Manipur and Manipur University will be organising a 3-day Manipur Science Congress 2024 from December 13-15, 2024, at Manipur University, Canchipur.
According to a release issued by MASTEC, the theme of the Congress is "Science and Technology for Sustainable Manipur," under which there will be five sub-themes, namely "Biological Diversity and Conservation, Biomolecules and Biotechnology", "Regenerative Technologies, Agriculture and Allied Sciences", "Physical, Chemical, Mathematical, Computational and Engineering Sciences", "Ecology, Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences" and "Health, Medical and Anthropological Sciences" .
Papers can be presented in two categories: oral presentations and posters.
In each of these presentation categories, an award will be conferred for the best paper presentation within the five sub-themes.
The Best Paper Presentation Award will include a cash prize of Rs 3,000, a citation and a memento.
In addition, there will be a Young Scientist Award for the best paper presented by participants under the age of 35 years.
A separate session will be held for the Young Scientist Award competition.
This award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a citation and a memento.
Registration for the Congress and abstract submission will be accepted until November 25, 2024 .
Acceptance of papers for presentation will be announced on November 30, 2024.While the last date of full paper submission for the Young Scientist Award is scheduled for December 5, 2024 .
Submission of the full paper (others) shall be communicated at a later date.
The MASTEC has urged interested persons to submit the registration forms on or before the deadline for participating in the Congress.
