Family of Heirok pre-poll violence victim demands justice

Imphal, October 28 2021: Abujam Tilotama, mother of Abujam Ramananda (27) who is in a critical condition at Raj Medicity following a pre-poll violence in Heirok Part III, has sought the attention of the Government to bring justice to his son.

Abujam Ramananda was seriously injured when some unknowns had assaulted him with sharp weapons on the evening of October 25 in Heirok Party III Kabow Leikai in Thoubal district.

Speaking to media at a press conference held at the Manipur Press Club, Abujam Tilotama alleged that one Thokchom Romio of Heirok Part II Thokchom Leikai had assaulted his son with heavy and sharp weapons.

A complaint had already been filed at the Heirok Police Station but no arrest has been made so far, she added.

She added that her son is battling between life and death at the moment and urged the Government to arrest and punish the culprits at the earliest.
