Imphal, October 28 2008: On the second day of the five-day long Book Fair being organised under the aegis of Mayai Lambi Integrated Development Organisation as part of its book promotion activities at Samurou Bazar, an on the spot painting competition for school students upto class X was arranged today.

A total of 192 students coming from various schools participated in the competition held on the theme of 'World Environment'.

Ph Tejkumar Singh of Little Master English Higher Secondary School won the fist prize, Ph Shantikumar Singh of Little Master Eng lish Higher Secondary School won the second prize and Leimapokpam Pari Meitei of the same school won the third prize.

Consolation prizes were also given to 10 other competitors.

THe book fair is being organised in collaboration with NBT, New Delhi.
