Imphal, April 27 2009: THE LEFT Front candidate of Manipur Inner Parliamentary seat, Dr M Nara of the CPI and Manipur unit of CPI (M) leader Ksh Shanta Monday met the national leaders of the party, Mr..SReddy, general secretary and K Saizee, national secretary at the national capital, New Delhi and submitted a list of complaints calling for re-polling in sixteen polling stations in Andro and Thoubal in Manipur.

Meanwhile, state leaders of the CPI informed it is prepared to prevent the counting of votes for the sixteen polling stations.

Taking a closer step to their demand for re-polling in sixteen polling stations of Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, the state CPI leaders in New Delhi submitted complaints for re-poll in the sixteen polling stations due to heavy proxy, last minute change of security system including 'hyper-sensitive' tag to normal tag.

In a telephonic conversation with NNN, Dr M Nara informed they have submitted the complains to the national leaders of the party and that all documents containing their various demands especially re-polling was ready.

This would be submitted to the election commission of India (ECI) when the national leaders of the CPI and CPI (M) with meet the chief election commissioner, he informed.

Meanwhile, the Left Front in Manipur asserted it was prepared to prevent the counting of votes for the sixteen polling stations were re-polling has been demanded.

Speaking to the media, secretary of the election committee of the CPI, Surchand informed democratic form of agitation would be continued until their demands were met.

The party is prepared to stop the counting of votes of the sixteen polling stations, he asserted.

Three major parties of the state, the MPP, BJP and the CPI had alleged the Congress of having exercise mass proxy, impersonation and even captured polling booths during the elections of the Inner Manipur on April 22.They also alleged the Congress had change the security deployment system in Andro constituency so as to favour rigging by their workers.

In protest, the three parties demanded re-poll in sixteen polling stations of Thoubal and Andro with leaders of the CPI and the MPP headed New Delhi to lodge a complaint with the election commission.
