All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union celebrates 59th Foundation Day

Kanglatongbi, September 25 2026: The All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) celebrated its 5 9th Foundation Day today at Kanglatongbi Mandir Community Hall in Imphal West.

With the foundation day celebration, a felicitation programme was held and Shri Madan Kumar Limbu Memorial One-Time Girls' Scholarship Award, 2026-27 was also presented.

The programme was attended by office-bearers and representatives of various AMGSU units, students, teachers, social workers, community representatives, well-wishers and invited guests.

The programme was graced by Professor Ganga Prasad Prasain, Department of Commerce, Manipur University and former Vice-Chancellor of Tripura Central University and L B Adhikari, President, AMGSU as the presidium members.

The event was also attended by representative from various different Gorkha social organisation leaders like Manipur Gorkha Welfare Union, Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh Manipur, Nepali Sahitya Parishad Manipur, Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad Manipur, All Manipur Gorkha Ex-servicemen Association, Manipur Gorkha Motor Owners Association, Women societies and youth clubs.

During the programme, AMGSU felicitated State Subject toppers in the Council Examination 2026 (Nepali), NEET students and other achievers in recognition of their academic accomplishments.
