RIMS warns against fake recruitment notification

Imphal, August 01 2026: The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has warned the public against a fake and unauthorised notification circulating in the name of the institute regarding the recruitment of six Staff Nurses and four Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) on a regular basis.

In a statement, RIMS said the fake notification dated August 24, 2026 .

It clarified that the notification was neither issued nor authorised by the institute.

RIMS also stated that the signature appearing on the purported notification was not that of the Director of the institute.

The institute advised the public and all concerned not to rely on, act upon or circulate the fake notification.

RIMS said it is taking appropriate steps in the matter and that legal action would be initiated against those responsible for creating, issuing or circulating the fraudulent document under the applicable law.

It further clarified that all genuine recruitment-related notifications issued by RIMS would be communicated only through the institute's authorised official channels.
