Imphal, February 25 2017: The revolutionary goal is based on aspirations from the collective past and the need for collective existence to defend sovereignty.

Historically, Manipur had a recognisable past in the annals of the South-East Asia and South Asian politics, continued the RPF president.

It had, in the past, enjoyed the status of an independent State.

However, India's alleged colonial expansion had taken a toll on Manipur's sovereignty.

The fallout of colonial rule has been deprivation of sovereignty and conversion of Manipur into a buffer and security bastion.

The 1962 India-China war had added to India's geo-strategic interest in Manipur.

A CIA report that alarmed India about potential Chinese attack via Burma through Manipur was responded with further militarisation.

India indulged in the propaganda that depicted the revolutionaries in Manipur as allies of Chinese social expansionism.

The objective of such propaganda has been to cover up the alleged colonial system and also to generate Indian popular hatred for and indifference to the national democratic movement in Manipur.

The colonial system is perpetuated by misleading the innocents.

Communal divisive tactics had created lots of confusion and distractions amongst the innocent peoples.

Many are being instigated to perceive the immediate neighbours as the enemy responsible for community subjugation and general impoverishment.

The misguided sections blindly subscribe to militarisation to address their immediate concern for security and supply of essential items.

The puppet regime and colonial agents take advantage of the situation, to make use of the Indian troops, to fulfil their vested interests.

It is high time to realise that the persisting communal tensions cannot be resolved with brutal hands except conducive dialogues among the communities.

The puppet regime cannot solve it by using Indian troops.

The colonial troops will remain mute spectators to any internecine conflict.

This was proven in the past, and, in the manner they handle the ongoing economic blockade.

The need of the hour is not towards encouraging communal competition but to work towards collective search for honourable options and solutions to create a durable unity.

"We must convincingly explain the syndromes of colonial rule and come up with concrete models to overcome the structural constraints that promote lumpen tendency, sectarianism and communalism", Chaoren asserted.

The colonised peoples have no other option than co-existence.

Sectarian and communal political aspirations have achieved nothing other than distrust and disorder.

All these have severely affected every section of people.

Chauvinist aspirations will promote fascist trend, which will create sabotage to the struggle towards achieving political sovereignty, proportionate development and social justice.

Today, an unholy alliance of the colonial puppet regime and reactionary agents is rooted in the society.

These counter-revolutionary forces are operating in every nook and corner.

They do nothing progressive.

Neither anarchist individual heroism nor sectarianism and communalism can liberate oneself or community from the clutches of the misrule and insecurity unleased by this unholy alliance.

Individualism and sectarianism are incorrect options to achieve any democratic aspiration.

On the contrary, they serve the interest of the colonial rulers, reads the statement.

"The colonial rule has transgressed community boundaries.

Everyone is a 'colonial prisoner' irrespective of the community and region that each one us is affiliated to.

We are strictly bound together by the colonial subjugation, exploitation and oppression.

Without national democratic revolution and social emancipation there cannot be progress and peace for any one of us.

As we live under a common political condition, we must have faith in collective struggle for collective future", exhorted the rebel leader.

The alleged colonial rule promotes the growth of right-wing opportunists at various levels.

These opportunists use the mask of patriots and social workers.

But their hidden objective is to accumulate personal gain in the name of community and society.

There are true patriots and sincere persons.

But they are being relegated on the fringes of social recognition.

On the contrary, opportunist pretenders are given widespread publicity and they enjoy predominant status.

Most of the puppets and agents, who enjoy political and economic power, belong to this camp of right-wing opportunism.

"We must strike a defeating blow to them", continued the rebel leader.
