Protest staged against gun attack

Imphal, November 24 2024: Denouncing the gun attack by unknown miscreants at Emporium institute, students and staff of Emporium Institute staged a sit-in protest in front of the institute in Mantripukhri today.

Speaking to media-persons, a protestor said that armed miscreants fired some rounds towards the institute on November 20.Condemning the gun attack, he urged all to leave education free from intimidation and to refrain from creating an atmosphere of fear during this difficult time.

He also urged all concerned to step forward & issue a clarification at the earliest and not to repeat such acts in the future.

At the sit-in, the protestors displayed placards with slogans such as, "Make educational institute terror free zone", "We condemn gun attack at educational institute", "No terror, save our future", etc.
