Felicitation of meritorious students held across state

Imphal, July 24 2022:
UNACCO School on
Sunday felicitated its students
who passed the recently declared
Class X and XII examination
conducted by Central Board of
Secondary Education (CBSE).
It may be mentioned that
students of UNACCO passed
Class X and XII examinations
with flying colours with Daisy
Hidangmayum securing 97.6
per cent by getting 488 marks
out of 500 marks.
Daisy and students who secured more than 90 per cent
marks were felicitated at its
Khongman school premises.
While giving credit for such
achievements to the students,
teachers and parents and guardians, school chairman N Irabanta
assured of producing more students who will bring laurels for
the state.
The felicitation function was
attended by school director Arup
Mukhopadhya, CEO Laishram
Khogen and principal P Surchandra as presidium members.
In Bishnupur district, Senior
Citizens and Intellectual Association, Nambol organised a
felicitation function to honour
students of Nambol AC who
secured above 70 per cent pass
percentage in the Class X and XII
examinations, at Public Theatre
Hall, Nambol on Sunday.
During the function, 161 students who passed the Class X
examination conducted by BSEM
including five position holders
and two students, who passed
the Class XII examination conducted by CoHSEM were feted.
The function was attended by
Education minister Th Basantakumar as chief guest and Senior
Citizen & Intellectual Association
president T Ibotombi Meitei as
president while ex-union minister Th Chaoba, Utlou GP pradhan N Sharat Singh, Sanjenbam
Pukhrambam GP pradhan N
Birjit Singh, Ishok GP pradhan
W Deben Singh and Nambol Municipal Council caretaker chairperson Ch Basanta Singh were
present as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion,
minister Basantakumar informed that education is the
backbone of the society.
Although the Covid-19 pandemic
affected the learning atmosphere
for around 3 years, students
must work hard for their future
careers and to become capable citizens of the country.
We
must also learn to utilise mobile
phones in the right way and our
intellect especially in this digital
world.
Urging all for preventing any
gap in information communication, the minister informed that
efforts are underway to include
lessons on Manipur's tradition
and culture covering at least 30
percent of the syllabus.
Meanwhile, Laiyingthou
Sanamahi Thougal Kanglup,
Masha Loisang Tentha, Thoubal
organised its 7th awards distribution to Manipuri subject
toppers at Tentha Multiplex.
Prizes were distributed to the
first three toppers of Tentha in
Manipuri subject in Class X examination conducted by BSEM
and Class XII examination conducted by COHSEM.
For Class X examination, Sofia

Tentha Khongbal Makha was
awarded 'Moirangthem Pala
Meitei Ningsing Sahitya Mana'
for securing the highest mark
in Manipuri, Oxford English
School, Tentha student Alerung
Ningthoujam of Tentha Tuwaban
received 'Moirangthem Nokul
Meitei Ningsing Sahitya Mana'
for securing the second highest
mark and the third highest mark
scorer Oxford English School,
Tentha student Moirangthem
Tamana Devi daughter of Manglemsana of Tentha Khongbal
received 'N Thambalngou Ningsing Mana'.
For Class XII examination,
TG Higher Secondary School's
Linthoingambi Thongam,
daughter of Gunindro of Tentha Khunou received 'Tekcham
Yaima Meitei Ningsing Sahitya
Mana', Mutum Lelin Meitei son
of Chandra received 'M Tombi
Leima Ningsing Sahitya Mana'
and Moirangthem Thoibi Devi
daughter of Sana of Tentha
Khongbal received the award
given by Laiyingthou Sanamahi
Thougal Kanglup Masha Loisang
for scoring the first, second and
third highest Manipuri mark
respectively.

Uripok Walking Party Welfare
Association organised awards
distribution function to students
from Nagamapal to Iroisemba
Chingjin who secured highest
marks at Class X and Class XII
examinations.
The distribution function
held at Epa Thoukok Shanglen,
Uripok was attended by Association president S Chaoba, vice
president K Gopal, secretary Ph
Bijen and advisor Dr Mohen as
presidium members.
