Faculty Development Programme concludes

A two-weeks Faculty Development Programme on "Augmenting Teaching Management Skills using Innovative Technologies" concluded today at the Conference Hall of College of Agriculture (CoA), Iroisemba, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal.
The valedictory function was graced by, Prof Kananbala Sarangthem, Director, EMMRC, Manipur University; Prof L Nabachandra Singh, Department of Agronomy; Prof K Nandini Devi, Head, Department of Agronomy and Prof Y Ranjana, Deputy Director of Instruction as presidium members.
Delivering the welcome address, Prof K Nandini devi gave a brief overview of the two weeks Faculty Development Programme.
Prof L Nabachandra Singh emphasised on the importance of organising the Faculty Development Programme and added that such a programme is needed to update the skills and knowledge of the faculty members in order to be a productive member of the CAU family.
Prof Kananbala Sarangthem elaborated on the importance of integrating new technologies in teaching to improve the teaching learning environment.
She mentioned that the Faculty Development Programme is an excellent platform to help the faculty members become dynamic teachers and researchers.
She also congratulated the Vice Chancellor for initiating the Faculty Development Programme, a pioneering work amongst all Agricultural Universities in the country.
Prof Y Ranjana Devi highlighted the latest mission of the University to enhance teaching by adopting new innovative technologies.
She urged all the participants to utilise the knowledge gained from the programme for the welfare of the University.
Altogether, 31 faculty/scientists participated in the Faculty Development Programme organised by the Directorate of Instruction, CAU, Imphal.
