Blessing ceremony of "Chaoba Gi Laibak", "Sanagi Thambal" held

Imphal, February 22 2026: The blessing ceremony of Manipuri feature films "Chaoba Gi Laibak" and" Sanagi Thambal" was held today at Triple E Farm Cafe, Marjing Pat in Heingang and MSFDS Mini Auditorium respectively.

"Chaoba gi Laibak" is produced by Chandam Yaima Devi under the banner of MR Movies.

The blessing ceremony was attended by Kangjam Ronelchandra, secretary, Film Forum Manipur as the chief guest; Praphulo Pukhrambam, former president of Cine Directors' Guild Manipur as the functional president and Bimol Phibou, vice president, Cine Directors' Guild Manipur as the guest of honour.

The cast of actors include Silheiba, Surbala, Undana, Idhou, Hemabati, Manglembi, Babloo, Prem Soro and Ravi.

Naobi Kangla is the cinematographer with Balli Ningthoujam as the editor and music direction by Nanao Sagolmang, AK Yangoi, and Amit Tantha.

Ojitbabu Ningthoujam is the man behind the story, screenplay and direction of "Chaoba Gi Laibak" while David Thokchom and Premchand Maisnam took the helm as assistant director and production manager respectively.

Separately, the blessing ceremony of "Sanagi Thambal" was graced by Samjetsabam Mangoljao, former chairman, Film Forum Manipur as the chief guest; Khangembam Kuleshwor, chairman, Film Forum Manipur as the functional president and senior actor Irom Shyamkeshore as the guest of honour.

"Sanagi Thambal" is produced by P Motilal Meitei under the banner of Chitra Cine Pix .

The cast of actors include Kaiku, Gokul, Bala, Sadananda, Chitra Pangambam, Angel Shimray, Premeshori, Shyamkeshore, Ningthouja Jayvidya, Thoithoi, Ghanashyam, Sorojini, Prem Sharma and Bijendra.

As director of the feature film, Bijgupta Laishram also wrote the story and screenplay.

Ranbir Thouna is the music director of "Sanagi Thambal", the film's cinematography is by L Radhamohon Sharma and editing by K Bimol Sharma.
