Imphal, February 20 2025: Radhakrishnan, Chief General Manager, SBI Guwahati Circle on Thursday inaugurated a new branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) at Pangei in Imphal East district.

The Pangei Branch is the 63rd SBI branch in Manipur and the first-ever SBI branch in the Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including K Kabib, IGP Intelligence, NAB, and Director, Manipur Police Training College; Samir Kant Jha, Deputy General Manager (B&O), SBI Administrative Office, Shillong; Khumukcham Okendra, Regional Manager, SBI RBO Imphal, and Moirangthem Devakishore, AGM, SBI Imphal Branch.

Speaking at the event, S Radhakrishnan stated that the SBI has always been at the forefront of bringing banking services closer to the people.

"With the opening of the Pangei Branch, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening financial accessibility and economic growth in Manipur", he added.

According to a release issued by SBI, the opening of the SBI Pangei Branch reflects the bank's commitment to financial inclusion, rural banking, and accessible banking services for the people of Manipur.

This branch will provide a full range of banking services, including personal and business banking, loans, digital banking support, and financial literacy programs.

The SBI Pangei Branch is expected to serve a broad customer base, offering modem banking facilities while fostering local economic development.
