Imphal, August 18 2025:
The Ching Tam Social Workers' Union (CTSWU) on Sunday carried out a large-scale mosquito fogging operation in and around Bamon Kampu as a preventive measure against Dengue and Malaria.
As per a release issued by CTSWU, the initiative comes in response to the rising concerns over mosquito-borne diseases during the monsoon season, when stagnant water and dense vegetation create favorable breeding conditions for mosquitoes.
Members of the union actively participated in the drive, ensuring that residential areas, pathways, and vulnerable spots were thoroughly covered from Bamon Kampu Khunjin to Bamon Kampu Lane 1 Elangbam Leirak.
At the event, representatives of the Union emphasized the importance of collective community action alongside medical interventions.
They urged residents to maintain cleanliness in and around their homes, clear stagnant water, and cooperate in future health and sanitation campaigns.
The CTSWU reaffirmed its commitment to public health and welfare, pledging to continue awareness drives and preventive measures to protect the community from vector-borne diseases.
The CTSWU also extended its gratitude to all members and the people of Bamon Kampu for their rm-wavering support and active participation, which made the event a grand success.
