Workshop / production wraps up

Imphal, April 18 2025: The 20-day workshop cum production on "Thanghairol" organised by Eastern Arts And Culture Foundation Manipur concluded today at its premises in Arapti Mamang Leikai, Imphal East district.

The workshop cum production was conducted under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The valedictory function was graced by dignitaries, including Art & Culture, Deputy Director, G Dharmadas; Eastern Arts & Culture Foundation Manipur president, M Manihar and Padmashree Awardee K Sanathoiba.

Speaking on the occasion, K Sanathoiba said that Thang-Ta is an indigenous art form of Manipur which holds great significance to the history and culture of the State.

Emphasizing the importance of learning Thang-Ta by the youths of the State, he maintained that practicing Thang-Ta not only leads to a healthy lifestyle but also helps in instilling discipline.

K Sanathoiba also stressed on the need for collective effort to promote & preserve the culture and traditional arts forms of Manipur.
