Trust extends aid to arson victim family

Imphal, March 18 2022:
Khundongbam Brojendro Cultural Trust, Imphal on Friday extended assistance to the family of Naorem Rakesh, whose house was torched in an election related violence in Tentha village in Thoubal district earlier this month.
While handing over the assistance, trustee Khundongbam Leina said that the trust extended the assistance as a mark of sharing the hardships faced by cultural activist Rakesh Naorem and his family members.
She also encouraged the family to endure the hardships with belief in God.
Renowned Shumang Leela & film artiste and writer Narendra Ningomba said that the trust has been organising international theatre festival to promote Manipuri theatre.
At the same time, Rakesh Naorem is also an activist, who promotes Manipuri culture at the international level.
His ideologies and activities align with those of the trust and he also had remained as festival committee member of international theatre festival organised by the trust in the past.
International theatre actor Laikhuram Angoutombi assured of extending further assistance to the family.
Trust secretary Chabungbam Sarat was also present on the occasion.
