Imphal, November 17 2024: Nabakanta Singh Memorial Trust has conferred the 1st Nabakanta Memorial Award to renowned artist James Heigrujam on Friday.

RD and PR Minister Yumnam Khemchand handed over the award to James Heigrujam during the 54th Foundation Day celebration of Leimarol Art Centre, Chingamakha, Imphal.

The award carries a cash incentive of Rs 10000, Lengyan Phee and certificate.

At the event, Irom Nabakanta Singh Memorial Trust president Irom Pradeep said that the award was presented to James Heigrujam in recognition of his contribution as an artist, humanitarian efforts and service rendered by him through Diamond TV and Wahong Radio.
