Thoubal, June 17 2025: Jeena Potshangbam, Governing Council member of National Co-operative Union of India, New Delhi & Chairperson, NUIC-Project Co-ordination Committee, Manipur has been nominated as the member of the 1st Governing Board of the "Tribhuvan Sahkari University, Anand, Gujarat.

Jeena Potshangbam is among the four eminent persons in the Co-operatives of the entire Nation.

In a landmark development for India's Co-operative movement, the Ministry of Co-operation has constituted the 1st Governing Board of the newly established Tribhuvan Sahkari University, Anand, Gujarat.

The Governing Board comprises a balanced mix of ex-officio members and nominated representatives drawn from Central Ministries, Co-operative Institutions and State Governments.

Jeena's appointment underscores the Centre's commitment to ensuring geographical and cultural representation in shaping India's Co-operative movement.

Her inclusion is symbolic of the North-East's rising participation in the National Co-operative narration bringing regional aspirations with the broader goal of inclusive development.
