Workshop on "Qualitative Data Analysis Using ATLAS.ti" begins

A 5-day national workshop on "Qualitative Data Analysis Using ATLAS.ti" began today at VC Court Hall, Manipur University, Canchipur.
The workshop was jointly organised by the Department of Mass Communication and Centre for the Study of Social Inclusion, Manipur University.
The inaugural function was graced by Prof N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University; Prof L Memcha Devi, Dean, School of Social Science, Manipur University; Prof Uma Shankar Panday, Head, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Surendranath College of Women, Kolkata and Dr RK Lilapati Devi, Head in-charge, Department of Mass Communication, Manipur University as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof N Lokendra said that in the past, researchers used to face a lot of difficulties in gathering & compiling data for their research.
"However, with the advancements in scientific technology, data collection, analysis, interpretation, documentation, etc have all become easier", he added.
He continued that technological advancements in research methodologies are transforming the research landscape and offering new opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and accuracy.
Thiyam Bharat, Associate Professor, Centre for the Study of Social Inclusion, Manipur University, shared that the workshop was conducted with the aim to educate young scholars and faculty members about data analysis.
