Mass awareness campaign on Voluntary Blood Donation held at Lamjao

Thoubal, October 16 2025: A mass awareness campaign on "Voluntary Blood Donation Camp" was held today at Lamjao Mayai Leikai Community Hall, Kakching district.

The event was jointly organised by the RIMS Imphal Transfusion Medicine Department and Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur (AVDB) Thoubal District Branch, in collaboration with Lions Club of Thoubal Greater Centurion, Mayeng Lamjao Gram Panchayat and Lamjao Pt I Development Association.

The mass awareness campaign was conducted as part of the nationwide mega voluntary blood donation drive under the theme "Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives".

The programme was attended by Mayeng Lamjao GP Administrative Committee chairperson Urikhinbam Narjit Luwang as chief guest; social worker Urikhinbam Devan as president; and Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur Thoubal district branch, vice-president and Waikhong PS OBC Dr Jotin Okram; District Hospital Thoubal Blood Centre and Transfusion Unit, specialist in Transfusion Medicine, Dr S Robindro; Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur Thoubal, treasurer and a regular voluntary blood donor and a motivator, M Priyokumar as guests of honour.

Dr S Robindro, Specialist in Transfusion Medicine of District Hospital Thoubal Khangabok Blood Centre and Transfusion Unit; and Motivator Nabakumar Thokchom, secretary of Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur, Thoubal district branch, who is also a regular voluntary blood donor, served as resource persons during the programme.
