SBI Imphal Region undertakes tree plantation drive across Manipur

As part of the Government of India's Plant4Mother initiative, the State Bank of India (SBI) Imphal Region has embarked on a large-scale tree plantation drive, targeting the planting of 6,500 saplings across various districts of Manipur.
This initiative, led by the SBI Regional Business Office in Imphal, saw the participation of 3 offices and 30 SBI branches in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Bishnupur, Ukhrul and Noney.
Today, 5,000 tree saplings were successfully planted in the first phase of the drive.
The second phase will involve the planting of an additional 1,500 saplings, furthering the bank's commitment to environmental conservation and community service.
The main tree plantation event was held at Langthabal Public Ground, in collaboration with Langthabal Sporting Club, under the aegis of the SBI Regional Business Office, Imphal.
SBI extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Office of the Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of Manipur as well as the various District Forest Offices, for their crucial support in this mission.
The bank also thanked all the volunteers who contributed to the success of today's programme, making a significant impact on the environment and the community.
