HGT rallies, campaigns held ahead of Independence Day

The NSS Cell of Manipur University, BJP Lamlai Mandal and Group Centre, CRPF, Imphal organised 'Har Ghar Tiranga' rallies while National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur celebrated the HGT campaign along with an antiragging awareness programme today.
As part of the HGT campaign, the NSS Cell of MU organised the Har Ghar Tiranga rally which began at 11 am from the premises of Vice-Chancellor Secretariat and concluded at Manipur University gate.
The rally was conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Ministry of Higher Education.
A total of 400 participants took part in the event, which was led by the Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University, along with the Dean of Student Welfare, Registrar, Finance Officer, MUTA president, MUSU president, University Engineer, faculty members, NSS Programme Officers, NSS volunteers, and students of Manipur University.
Meanwhile, the Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing, Imphal took out a Har Ghar Tiranga bike rally to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes.
All Force members including IGP M&N Sector, DIG (Adm), DIG (Ops), DIG Range, and DIG GC Imphal participated in the motorcycle rally.
The bikes were adorned with the Tricolour and individuals from civil populace also participated in the rally.
Tirangas in large numbers were carried by all personnel invoking a sense of nationalism and patriotic ambience.
Patriotic songs were also played throughout the rally.
NIT Manipur celebrated the HGT campaign and conducted an anti-ragging awareness campaign at its campus.
The campaign saw active participation from the Director, Professor Somayajulu; Registrar, Professor Kh Tomba Singh, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students.
The Tricolour was hoisted with honour, followed by flag distribution and singing of the National anthem.
Following the flag celebration, NIT Manipur conducted an anti-ragging awareness programme aimed at ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
The program was attended by first-year students, faculty members, and staff.
Additionally, BJP Lamlai Mandal also organised a HGT rally starting from the residence of MLA Kh Ibomcha at Nongada and culminating at Lamlai.
BJP Manipur VP N Nimbus and many BJP Lamlai Mandal leaders also participated in the rally.
On the occasion, the Lamlai AC MLA declared that BJP Manipur and BJP MLAs will not remain silent if the Centre attempts to disintegrate Manipur and further assured that such a move will be dealt with appropriately.
It is a well-known fact that the Centre is making consistent efforts to bring normalcy in Manipur, he said, and maintained that restoration of normalcy is more important than installation of a popular Government.
Highlighting numerous positive moves initiated by the Centre and State Government, he strongly maintained that the Centre will not carry out any activities in Manipur which are in contravention of the law.
