Thoubal, July 12 2026:
Social worker Thokchom Jadumani on Sunday announced his candidature for the upcoming 13th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from the 35-Khangabok Assembly Constituency.
The announcement was made during a programme organised to honour senior citizens of the constituency by presenting them with gifts.
The event was attended by his family members and elders from various localities of Khangabok.
As part of the programme, women aged 60 years and above and men aged 65 years and above were felicitated with gifts in recognition of their contributions to society.
Jadumani also sought their blessings.
Earlier in the day, Jadumani visited the newly renovated Ibudhou Mapal Sanglen at Khangabok Tangkha Leikai and the Shyamkanhai Bamol Mandap at Khangabok Makha Leikai.
After offering prayers, he formally handed over the renovated structures, which were refurbished at his own expense, to the local residents.
Addressing a gathering of around 2,000 voters from different polling stations across the constituency, Jadumani appealed for public support, saying he was committed to serving the people and working for the overall development of Khangabok if elected to the 13th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
He urged the electorate to give him an opportunity to represent the constituency and fulfil their aspirations.
