Thoubal, January 12 2026: A weeklong national capacity building workshop programme on 'Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) Implementation and NAAC's Binary Accreditation Framework (BAF)' commenced on Monday at the Multipurpose Hall of Lilong Haoreibi College, Lilong Ushoipokpi, Thoubal district.

Held under the theme "Building the Foundation of the Future-Ready Quality Institutions", the programme is being organised by Lilong Haoreibi College in collaboration with the Department of Teacher's Education, Manipur University.

The workshop aims to enhance institutional preparedness and understanding of the newly introduced ITEP as well as the revised accreditation framework of the NAAC .

The inaugural function of the workshop programme was graced by former Minister of State for External Affairs & Education Dr RK Ranjan.

ERC, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, chairperson Professor Dibyajoti Mahanta; School of Education, Manipur University Dean Professor Premlata Maisnam; and Lilong Haoreibi College Principal Professor Md A Sattar Shah also attended the programme.
