Forest Guard recruitment examination conducted successfully

Imphal, January 12 2025: The Forest Department, Government of Manipur successfully conducted the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination 2024-25 for 137 Regular posts and 70 Contractual posts at 18 Centres in Imphal, Jiribam, Churachandpur, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Chandel and Senapati districts on Sunday.

According to a release issued by the Controller of Examination, Forest Department Manipur, a total of 8303 candidates applied for the examination.

Out of which, about 6800 candidates appeared in the examination.

The examination for Regular posts was conducted in the forenoon session and Contractual posts in the afternoon session.

Security of the centres was ensured by the District Administration including the Police Department.

All the centres were covered by CCTV cameras and were monitored at Forest Head Quarters at Imphal centrally.

In order to prevent use of unfair means, flying squads were also deployed for surprise visits to the centres.

The examination went peacefully at all the centres.

The recruitment examination has been conducted as one of the important initiatives of the State Government to promote employment of the local youths.

The Forest Department appreciated the support provided by Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police across all the districts.
