Imphal, October 11 2026: The XVIII CUTICON Manipur 2026, the annual State conference of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL), Manipur State Branch, was held at Hotel Classic Grande, Imphal, on October 10 and 11.Organised by the IADVL Manipur State Branch, the conference was conducted under the theme "Dermatology Beyond Boundaries: Integrating Innovation with Patient Care".

The event brought together around 70 delegates, including eminent international, National and regional speakers, who shared their expertise and discussed recent advances, emerging technologies and evidence-based practices in dermatology.

The scientific sessions of the conference focused on recent advances and innovations in dermatology, including evolving treatment approaches for challenging skin diseases, advances in aesthetic dermatology and the integration of modem technologies into clinical practice.

The discussions emphasised the importance of scientific evidence, accurate diagnosis and patient-centred care in achieving better treatment outcomes.

A major highlight of the conference was the conduct of five hands-on workshops designed to enhance the practical skills of dermatologists in aesthetic and procedural dermatology.

The workshops covered Basic Botox, Advanced Botox, Dermal Fillers, Thread Lift and Interventional Tri-chology, providing participants with opportunities for practical learning and exposure to contemporary treatment techniques.

The conference also highlighted the importance of public awareness regarding safe and ethical dermatological care.

Speaking at the conference, the experts and resource persons urged members of the public to consult qualified and certified dermatologists, particularly for persistent, complex or difficult-to-treat skin, hair and nail disorders.

Unsupervised treatments and procedures performed by unqualified individuals can lead to complications, delayed diagnosis and worsening of disease, said the experts.
