Tangrei Shimva organises felicitation programme

Ukhrul, June 11 2024: A felicitation programme for Dr Ngahorza Chiphang who has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Hydrology Modelling and successful students who passed the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLCE) 2024 and Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) 2024 was held today at Tangrei Community hall.

The felicitation programme was organisedby Tangrei Shimva, women and youth organization.

Deputy Commissioner Ukhrul, Kengoo Zuringla and Advisor of National Commission for Women (NCW), Soso Shaiza graced as the presidium members of the event.

Speaking as the chief guest, Ukhrul DC Kengoo Zuringla advised the students to devote their maximum time in studies so as to excel in the field of education inorder to become successful personalities and leaders of the Nation.

Highlighting the importance of maintaining consistency, the DC advised the students to follow a strict routine and acquire maximum knowledge and aim higher to enable themselves to gain confidence to compete at any platform and face challenges.

Soso Shaiza while speaking at the occasion, underscored the importance of education in this contemporary world and said that students must ensure proper time management.

The DC distributed certificates to the successful students and presented cash awards to seven students who scored more than 70 percent in the HSLCE and HSE.

It may be noted that Rev Zaklei Kaping, Pastor of Phungyo Baptist Church, Ukhrul pronounced a blessing prayer for all the students.
