Imphal, March 10 2026: The Ukhrul-Kamjong Unit of the National People's Party (NPP) has welcomed several new members from the district following their formal induction during a "Party Consultative Meeting cum Induction Programme" held on March 9 at Classic Grande, Imphal.

In a release, the media cell of the Ukhrul-Kamjong NPP Unit stated that those who joined the party include former BJP State Executive member Ngachonmi Ramshang, former president of Tangkhul Mayar-Ngala Long (TMNL) Thanmi L Shimray, former general secretary of Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) Layolan Vashum, and advocate and former speaker of Tangkhul Katamnao Long Imphal (TKLI) Zingranso Shatsang.

The event was attended by several senior leaders of the NPP, including National Vice-President I Hemochandra Singh, National General Secretary (Political) Mmhonlumo Kikon, National Secretary Saidul Khan, State President Dr Lorho S Pfoze, State Senior Vice-President Dr Jilasana, State General Secretary (Admin) Lakpachui Sire and State General Secretary (Organisation) Dhanabir Maibam, along with leaders of NPWF and NPYF.

The Ukhrul-Kamjong NPP Unit stated that the induction of new members reflects growing support for the party's vision under the leadership of its National President Conrad K Sangma, aimed at strengthening a united political platform for the people of Northeast Meanwhile, members of the NPP from 43-Phungyar Assembly Constituency also congratulated Jason Jajo on his appointment as an executive member of the party's State Executive Committee (SEC) .
