DESAM calls for free and fair entrance exams for admission to PG courses in MU

Imphal, October 08 2022: Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has called for free, fair and timely entrance examinations for admission to post graduate courses in Manipur University.

In a statement released by its president, Heikrujam Nilkanta Meitei, DESAM said the University and its various schools/departments should hold the entrance examinations to MA, MSc and vocational courses for session 2022-23 free and fair to give equal opportunity to all and select deserving students.

The Manipur University Council, DESAM said the University authorities should check all unfair means and assure that there is no leakage of question papers this year.

Leakage of entrance test question papers degrades the morale of students and damages the image of the highest educational institution in the State, it said.

Urging student organisations in the State and Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) to assist the university hold the entrance test free and fair, MUC-DESAM said it would take actions against those found indulging in unfair means in the entrance examinations to be held.
