Assam Rifles organised mass tree plantation drives spanning across Tamenglong, Noney, Senapati and Kangpokpi districts by planting more than 10,000 saplings.
The plantation drive emerged as a beacon of hope for a sustainable future and a testament to collective action in combating environmental challenges.

In continuation of World Environment Day, the Assam Rifles carried out a tree plantation drive at Sendra village, Bishnupur district on June 6, 2024.The plantation drive was organised to motivate the children for understanding the need of planting trees and saving the environment.
A bond has been created between the children and nature through the initiative, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.
The villagers and the parents of the children equally supported the initiative and actively participated in planting the trees.
