DC Churachandpur launches Sampoomata Abhiyan 2.0

Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S, on Friday launched "Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0" for Lamka South Block at Elim Veng Community Hall, Churachandpur.
The programme was organised by the District Administration, Churachandpur, under the supervision of Anunay Anand, Block Development Officer.
Setting the tone for the campaign, Anunay Anand delivered the opening remarks, followed by an oath-taking (pledge) on Sampoomata Abhiyan led by Jameson Hangshing, Project Director, DRDA.
Speaking as chief guest, the Deputy Commissioner described the launch as a "proud moment" for the district, noting that Lamka South Block has been selected as an aspirational block by NITI Aayog and the Government of India.
Recalling the achievements under Sampoomta Abhiyan 1.0, he stated that the block was among 93 blocks nationwide to achieve 100 per cent saturation, which he attributed to the collective efforts of all stakeholders.
Describing the Abhiyan as "not just a scheme, but a momentum", the Deputy Commissioner said it embodies people's participation to ensure that every existing government scheme reaches as many individuals as possible in a timely and impactful manner.
He called for continued cooperation from all departments and community members, pointing out that while the diversity of Lamka South poses performance challenges, it also generates greater interest and a healthy sense of competitiveness.
He expressed confidence that the block would not only remain a high-performing unit but would also emerge as a truly inspirational block.
The programme also featured experience-sharing sessions by Thiauthianmung Guite and Dr Lalmalsawm Valte, who spoke about on-ground experiences and successes from Sampoomata Abhiyan 1.0 .
A cultural performance was presented by the Raybum College Cultural Troupe.
The three-month campaign, which began on January 28, 2026, will continue till April 14, 2026 .
Members of Village Authorities within the block, District Level Officers (DLOs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs), CSO leaders, teachers, supervisors, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and representatives from top-performing SelfHelp Groups (SHGs) of Lamka South Block in Churachandpur district attended the programme.
