Senapati, December 06 2025: The book release event of "A Poem for Her" written by Chorow Kape was held today at The Garden Kitchen, Senapati.

The poetry book was formally released by Adahrii Maheo, MCS, Chief Executive Officer of ADC Senapati.

The program began at 10 am and was moderated by A Athia Ridju who welcomed the gathering.

On the occasion, Chorow Kape shared the inspiration and sentiment behind the book, stating that it is an exploration of love and romance.

He mentioned that the poems are a collection of emotions, love, feelings, sacrifice, trust, care, memories, wishes and hope wrapped with beautiful colors of lines of words and presented as a gift.

Meanwhile, ADC Adahrii Maheo said that the process of composing and consolidating the poems into a volume demands significant effort and conveyed his appreciation for the author's dedication.

In his speech, Pfokrehrii Matekho Pekosii, president, Mao Students Union said that Chorow Kape was an executive member of the student's union and has been extending constant help to the Union.

He also congratulated the author on successfully publishing the book.

The president further stressed on the need to improve the community literature, by translating or writing new books in their dialect (Maola) in order to promote "one's own language, seeing the present situation among the youth who depend on the internet and do not care to read books".

Lastly, Mao Naga Women Welfare Association president Onia encouraged other young writers to follow in the author's footsteps.
