Sit-in-protests for ILP staged

In continuation of the on going protest demanding the implentation of ILP in the State, three places in Imphal, Singjamei Waikhom Leikai, Kwakeithel Mayai Koibi and Kwakeithel Haobam Marak Irom Leikai staged sit-in-protests today demanding speedy implementation of the system.
PCC club, Mayaikoibi's social worker Tamphasana chabungbam strongly condemned the State Government for befooling the general public when Assembly had already decided on the implementation of the system.
The 60 MLA's ought to protect and render good policies for the public, she added, inorder to save the future generation from diminishing in the hands of other races.
Meanwhile, Nourya Pakhang Lakpa Meira Paibi Association's secretary L Nganbi urged State Goverment to act sooner so that Manipur do not share the same fate with Tripura.
She further pressed the MLAs to implement ILP at the earliest keeping in view the sentiments of the general public.
She also condemned the State forces who had inhumanely beaten the ILP student protestors demanding quick release of both the students and the arrested women protestors.
