Many extend aid to flood victims

Many continue to extend humanitarian aid to the people affected by the devastating flood which left a trail of destruction in many districts of the State.
Today, Lions Club of Imphal, Lions International District 322D, provided a monetary aid of Rs 12,000 along with T-shirts, multi-vitamin syrups, rice & other food items to Poirei Nawakon Children Home for Girls located in flood-affected Achanbigei, Imphal East district The relief items and monetary donation was handed over to MC Reeta.

At the event, Lions Club of Imphal, past president A Basantakumar and secretary Manas Maisnam shared that the assistance was provided to help the children who are facing difficulties due to the recent flood.
Moreover, in continuation of its humanitarian endeavours, the Like Minded Group (LMG), Manipur today provided a monetary aid of Rs 20,000 to the bereaved family of Ingudam Nitai (41) of Keishamthong Thangjam Leirak, who was electrocuted on May 31, 2024 .
It may be mentioned that Ingudam Nitai was operating an electric motor to pump out water from his house when he was electrocuted due to a short-circuit at around 10 am on May 31.Members of LMG led by chief advisor Wangkhemcha Shamjai, advisory board member Ashem Kennedy and president L Kunjeshwar visited the residence of Late Ingudam Nitai and handed over the monetary aid to the bereaved family.
Similarly, Anouba Sinmitlon also distributed drinking water to the flood affected people of Khabi Maning Leikai under Konthoujam AC .
