Imphal, May 03 2025: Dhol Dholok Cholom and folk dance of Manipur were showcased at the first-ever World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

WAVES 2025, is a major event hosted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Government of India, bringing together industry leaders, creators, and innovators to discuss the future of the media and entertainment sector, both domestically and internationally.

The summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 1, 2025.On the second day of the summit, a cultural group consisting of 6 teachers and 22 students of Thang-Ta Cultural & Research Academy and Guru Natek Meitei Pung Research Institute mesmerised the crowd with their folk dance & song performances.
