Winter camp concludes

A 10-Day Winter Camp for children came to end today with a captivating closing ceremony at the Centenary Hall, Manipur University, Canchipur.
The ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including Narendra Ningomba.
State Kala Akademi Awardee; Nongpoknganba Yambem, president, MUSU 2025-26; and Thokchom Loken Meitei, director, Nongeen Arts & Culture Association Manipur.
As per the organisers, the Winter Camp was designed to provide a comprehensive developmental experience for young students through a combination of educational, recreational, and adventure activities.
The camp was focused on teaching children traditional arts like Manipuri Dance, Thang-Ta (martial art), folk songs, and crafts to engage them culturally and provide a healthy alternative to excessive phone use, helping them build skills and emotional well-being.
The camp, which commenced on December 24, 2025, was participated by about 180 students from different schools.
