Imphal, October 02 2026: Asian Hospital has appealed to all patient parties not to resort to actions like attacking or closing the hospital and seeking huge amounts as compensation by filing petitions at Courts in case of deaths at the hospital.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, Asian Hospital and Research Institute media coordinator Ningthoukhongjam Bobo said that the hospital has been serving all sections of people for the last 10 years.

Many patients suffering from financial difficulties had been given not only free OPD services, even surgical operations were conducted free of cost at the hospital, Bobo said.

Moreover, many patients who could not pay hospital bills after successful treatments were discharged without forcing them to pay the due bills, he said.

At the same time, there were cases of deaths at the hospital despite maximum efforts given by doctors due to extremely critical conditions of the patients, he said.

The media coordinator also appealed to all patient parties not to take recourse to such actions as shutting the hospital, demanding huge amounts as compensation by filing petitions at Courts and defaming the hospital through media.
