The Deputy Commissioner Kakching has notified the public ofKakching District that Dr Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt, of India, New Delhi has revised the "Dr Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme".
In a public notice, the DC Kakching said, "Dr Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme Revised - 2018" aims to provide medical aid to those individuals suffering from serious ailments, liver, cancer and brain or any other life threatening disease including organ transplant and spinal surgery to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Person whose annual family income is less than Rs.3,00,000/.The scheme has been revised to make it broad based in terms of diseases, eligible hospitals etc.
Therefore, proposals are encouraged for eligible Scheduled Caste (SC's) and Scheduled Tribe (ST's) patient suffering from serious ailments so that they can get medical aid under the scheme of Foundation.
The details of the scheme are available on the website (www.ambedkarfoundation.nic.in), added the notice.
Furthermore, all eligible applicants can apply for medical aid by post in the prescribed application form or on plain paper as per details in the prescribed proforma (also available on the website), to the Director, Dr Ambedkar Foundation, 15 Janpath, New Delhi, at least 15 days before the date of surgery, said the notification by Kakching DC.
