Aid extended to flood victims

Imphal, June 02 2025: In a bid to provide some relief and alleviate the problems caused by the prevailing flood situation in the State, a team of 4 Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp cum distribution of relief materials at Eastern Students Club, Nongmeibung, where flood-affected individuals have been temporarily sheltered.

The initiative was carried out in response to a request from the club for essential relief materials including sanitary pads, drinking water, odomos and ORS packets.

About 150 people benefitted from the effort, including 61 women, 47 men and 42 children.

The team provided medical check-ups and health consultations, and distributed medicines, anti-allergic creams, mosquito sprays, insect repellents, sanitary pads and 600 bottles of drinking water.
