IRCS Bishnupur distributes relief materials to flood affected victims

Bishnupur, June 01 2024: In continuation of extending humanitarian aid to flood affected victims, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Bishnupur District Branch under the aegis of District Administration Bishnupur distributed relief materials in the district.

A team of IRCS Bishnupur comprising Secretary Dr Huidrom Romen, Joint Secretary Huidrom Shyamchan, Committee Members Wahengbam Tolangou and Dr Mongjam Ranjit along with the volunteers distributed relief materials such as tarpaulin, health hygiene kits, mosquito nets etc to flood affected victims of Laitonjam and Laitonjam Khori Leikai who are currently taking refuge at relief camps opened at Nambol Laitonjam, Nambol Higher Secondary School and Leirel Girls Higher Secondary School among others.

The volunteers of IRCS Bishnupur also helped in the rescue drive of poultry in the region.

Meanwhile, the IRCS Bishnupur distributed relief materials to flood affected households of Keinou in Oinam Assembly Constituency.
