CPI/MSC commemorates formation of Jukto Front

Imphal, November 30 2024: The Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council (CPI/ MSC) on Saturday observed the 77th anniversary of the formation of Jukto Front under the leadership of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot at lrawat Bhawan, Imphal.

The event was graced by Langol Iboyaima, chairman, State Control Commission, CPI/MSC; G Tomba Sharma, former Principal, DM College of Science; Md Jalal, president, All Manipur Muslim Coordinating Committee; S Yaima, former district secretary, ICDC/CPI and Th Yaiskul, retired Headmaster & Marxist theoretician as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Langol Iboyaima the event was organised to remember the works and contributions of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot towards uniting die hills and the valley as well as the meeting which was held at Manipur Dramatic Union hall on November 30, 1947, leading to the formation of a Jukto (united) Front, for bringing unity between the hills and the valley.

Stressing on the need for the people to reaffirm the resolution which was adopted on November 30, 1947, Iboyaima called for unity of the hills and the valley to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur.
