Seva Sankalp Abhiyan activities continue

Under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, various activities continue in Pherzawl and Tamenglong districts today.
Pherzawl
The Pherzawl district administration today organised a series of programmes across the district as part of the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, 2026, under the theme "Seva, Sushasan and Antyodaya".
As part of the observance, the District Police, in collaboration with the District Youth Affairs & Sports, Pherzawl, organised a bike rally under the Seva Jyoti Yatra at the Pherzawl District Headquarters.
The rally began at Dawrkawn Pherzawl and passed through the major thoroughfares of the village.
Local youths and volunteers participated enthusiastically, carrying banners and raising slogans highlighting public service and nation building.
Meanwhile, a cleanliness drive was organised at Tuaitengmun Junior Basic School (JBS) under Tipaimukh Block for schools under the CEO/ADC.
Students actively took part in cleaning the school campus and its surroundings, promoting a spirit of service, collective responsibility and behavioural change towards cleanliness.
A painting competition was also held at Ngampabung Junior Basic School, with the event highlighting themes related to education, empowerment and protection of the girl child.
Tamenglong
A team led by Tamenglong Deputy Commissioner Dr L Angshim Dangshawa visited five Anganwadi centres today as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.The team inspected the Hougailong Centre, Duigailong Part-B, Khongjaron Khunthak, Khongjaron and Dimthanlong Anganwadi Centre.
Following the field visits, an interaction programme with ASHA workers was held at the Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) office.
Dr Dangshawa expressed his gratitude to Anganwadi workers and helpers for their dedication in nurturing the district's children and handed over gift packs to each centre as a token of appreciation on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He also engaged with Anganwadi helpers and workers, assuring them that the government is planning to provide improved facilities.
The month-long observance of Sevan Sankalp Abhiyan (SSA) continues across Tamenglong district with various line departments undertaking activities under the overall supervision of the District Administration, Tamenglong.
An awareness/sensitization programme on substance abuse was conducted followed by taking mass pledge against drugs at Good Shepherd School Tamenglong Headquarter under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) Tamenglong, jointly organised by the District Administration Tamenglong and DSWO in collaboration with ZEO, Tamenglong.
The program aims at educating and sensitizing the s,tudents about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to reduce drug demand in the district.
The Small Town Committee and Autonomous District Council Tamenglong in collaboration with CMO and PHED conducted Safai Mitra Suraksha Evam Samman Shivir (Health check-up for sanitation, workers and distribution of PPE Kits) at Autonomous District Council, Office, Tamenglong Headquarter .
