Imphal, December 31 2024: Naharol Sahitya Premi Samiti Imphal organised a Kabi Kirtan (Wakma Hongba) programme at the auditorium of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal today.

The Kabi Kirtan programme was attended by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Imphal president, Longjam Joychandra; Cultural ForumManipur president, Prof Koijam Shantibala Devi and Naharol Sahitya Premi Samiti president, Naoroibam Indramani as presidium members.

Additionally, an Awards Presentation Ceremony Was also conducted chaired by Kh Ibomcha, Chairman, Manipur Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited.

During the ceremony, Padma Devi Award was presented to Durga Sharma while the Telem Ningol Atoibema Award was conferred to Nongthombam Bishorjit and Tayenjam Jayanta Poetry Award was given to Devdas Mairembam.

Sanasam Ongbi Moirangthem Maipakpi Sahitya Award was conferred to Moirangthem Priyobrata and Moirangthem Narendra Gold Medal was presented to Kunjalal Y endrembam.

The release of a journal titled "Wakhal" and poem recitation session were the other highlights of the event.
