Imphal, December 29: Along with organising an exhibition of records and a seminar on the theme of 'Imphal and its implication on historical, cultural and geographical aspects', the 28th Archive Week observance has begun from today at the complex of Manipur State Archive here.

Inaugural function of the week-long observance was attended by Health Minister P Parijat as chief guest, Commissioner of Art and Culture P Bharat as president and Director of Art and Culture Dr Kh Sorojini as guest of honour.

As part of the observance function, chief guest inaugurated the records exhibition while functional president released a book titled 'Freedom fighter Laikhuram Khagendrajitka Mari Leinaba document-shing'.

Record donor Laikhuram Ibobi, son of the freedom fighter, was also honoured at the occasion.
