Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma to attend RKL Conference / Cultural Meet at Ukhrul

Meghalaya ChiefMinister Conrad Sangma has consented to grace the Day III of the 58th Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL) General Conference-cum-Sports, Cultural and Literary Meet-2026, scheduled to be held at Khamasom Walely village, Ukhrul.
Speaking to this correspondent, RKL president Paomi Khaveishang said that a student conference will be held from January 7 to 16, 2026, under the theme "Our Culture, Our Shared Purpose: Upholding Identity" .
The event will be hosted by Khamasom Walely Katamnao Long.
He informed that RKL comprises 45 villages, and students from all 45 units will participate in the forthcoming conference cum sports, cultural and literary meet.
He informed that Conrad Sangma has also assured the northern Tangkhul students' body of his presence during the traditional exhibition and handicraft show on Day III of the conference.
According to the RKL president, the opening ceremony of the 58th general conference will be inaugurated by Dr Chumben Murry, advisor to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and former Minister NLA.
Local MLA Ram Muivah will serve as the chief host of the programme.
The 10-day event will feature a wide range of competitions and activities, including Raphei Got Talent, literary events, cultural shows, beauty pageant, host night, traditional attire show and various sporting competitions.
